Ambisolace – Light Rain in Eno’s Garden (2024)
Three generative ambisonic sound worlds, inspired by Brian Eno’s seminal ambient work “Thursday Afternoon”. Sparse melodic loops and field recordings are each given their own unique trajectories in virtual space using ambisonics, creating a world of endlessly iterating, three dimensional melodic ideas that unfold around the listener. Live Ambisonic Improvisations
Using a combination of traditional instrumentation and cutting-edge live electronics, Ambisolace uses ambisonic technology to improvise three dimensional ambient soundworlds in real time. Spatial information in ambisonics can be decoded to any speaker array, meaning the performance will sound spatially correct whether the venue has two speakers or two hundred.
