Challenge:
Make an album in 24 hours using only samples we record with instruments made out of cardboard and tape.
Concept:
Cimmanin Aminal is a single serving band. This means the musicians were challenged to form a band, create a debut album, and disband again, all in the course of one day.
For this particular album, all the source material (barring one accidental vocal sample) comes from recordings of makeshift instruments fashioned out of cardboard during the band’s short, but fruitful 24 hours of existence.
Musicians:
Claudius Heilgendorff
G. W. Upton
Concept:
Single serving bands are a musical moment in time. The members can be anyone, the concept can be anything, the location can be anywhere. The only standing agreement is that the band will publish one seminal work and then permanently retire.
